Sebastian
It is twenty minutes later when Kent makes an appearance at the cabin, I arrived five minutes before. Enough time to pour myself a glass of Hennessey and get a hang of myself before I do something I regret.

Kent walks in the front door just as I turn taking a sip of my drink, the warmth of the Hennessey burns my throat in a much needed way.

He’s wearing a ripped jeans that have seen better days and a white tee full of purple and pink paint.

“Do I even want to ask?” I say as a way of greeting.

He smiles a tight full length smile, “Nope, not at all, and even if you ask I ain’t saying shit.”

That statement makes me grin, “How’s the twins.” After the death of his father, and stepmother Kent wasn’t only left as the heir to his father’s empire but also the guardian of his father’s wife’s eight year old twins, Nolan and Niya.

He groans, “It isn’t the twin you should be concerned about, Marrissa is killing me, she made me paint Niya’s room, I told her I will just get somebody but that chick is like a python when it comes to Niya.”
I arch my brow, “And that is a bad thing how? You wanted someone who could protect them and responsible enough to raise them, why are you complaining? I’m paying for her so she stays.”
He huffs, not saying anything further on the topic, “Pour me one of those please.”
“Pour it yourself.” I go take a seat on the loan leather sofa near the door while Kent walks toward the crystal bottle of brown fire.
